Sorry for the large gap in updates. Life has been overall really good, and I have been just too busy living, and resting to take the time to write a post. But here we are!
The "Halfway Point".
We are halfway through the 2024 US Hard Enduro Series, and also almost half way through 12 rounds of chemo, so that seemed a fitting name for this update. I know I may not truly be half way though my cancer treatment, but I am 5/12th of the way through chemo so that will have to suffice.

Chemo: For me it has been a very interesting experience. I was able to tolerate the first 4 rounds of chemo very well. There is surely some unpleasant times along the way but it was never miserable, overly tiring, and I have been able to stay productive. Round 5, things changed slightly, and it has been more unpleasant than previous rounds, but again, not miserable. More tiring, and the side effects lasted longer than the first 4 rounds. The most challenging part about the process so far has been its affect on my sleep, and my sleep schedule. I am given oral steroids on the day of chemo, and for two days following. It seems to keep my up too late at night, causing me to sleep too late in to the day, and this pattern is then very difficult to break.

Treatment updates:
I had my first real progress update two weeks ago when I had my first CT scan since chemo began. This was the first chance for some quantitative data comparing the CT scan from when I was originally diagnosed, to the CT scan that was take after 4 rounds of chemo. According to my oncologist, the scans looked promising, and he feels confident that the treatments are causing their desired effects, which is to attack the tumors and shrink the tumors. Initial imagry showed this to be the case. I am now scheduled for an MRI on the 20th of June. This will be the next big update, and these higher quality
images will be used by the surgeons to determine if it is time to schedule surgery, or continue with more rounds of chemo. I believe they will say it is time to schedule surgery, but we will see.

Life updates:
-Still trying to do cool s*it as much as possible.
-Sponsoring Tobin Miller for the 2024 season is going well and is helping give me some purpose and direction through this challenging time in life. He is riding well, helping me a lot, and having good results. Stay tuned to see what he can do in the second half of the season.
-Maddie is awesome. She is so much fun, and loves to help with everything. She is getting too old, too fast!
-Kate has a new raised garden to grow organic vegetables. This will likely be the key to me beating cancer. At least that is what we would BOTH like to believe..... ;)
