One Week Post-Op

One week ago today, I was coming off a 30 hour bowl prep, on my way to the hospital for the big surgery. Today I am sitting on my couch trying to focus on a blog while watching Trystan Hart helmet cam footage, thinking about the bikes, and the parts, and the tires, and the logistics...........

I have been home since Saturday afternoon, so 3.5 days. The doctors have told me to be up and moving as much as tolerated, but to not lift more than 10 pounds. They want me on my feet and walking. I have been up and around and each day am more comfortable. Sleeping gets better each night. Each day my incision seems less likely to explode if I have to cough. The first sneeze...... was scary to say the least. But overall I'm comfortable, and getting around well.
