Taking It From Both Ends

Finally I feel like some progress is being made after over 24 hours in the ER overflow. I am being transferred to a normal hospital room, with a window. Tomorrow morning I will be undergoing an endoscopy and colonoscopy to have a little look-see in both "ends". I have heard a little about colonoscopies, but had no real reason to ever look in to how they work, or how you prepare. All I remembered hearing is that you drink a foul tasting jug of fluid to clean you out so that they can get an unobstructed view of your internal plumbing.
At this point I was still somewhat optimistic that they would find hemorrhoids during the colonoscopy, but I had reason for some concern about the endoscopy due to my expert "google" self diagnosis, and the darker than bright red blood I was experiencing.
After a highly eventful Friday night in to Saturday drinking the colonoscopy prep fluid, it was time to head off to the procedure. They hauled me down to the procedure room where I was sedated. As I drifted off to drug induced sleep, one thought was overwhelming my brain. I knew I would wake up to one of two options.
Option 1: You have hemorrhoids, and ulcer, or some other run of the mill ailment. They have been repaired during the scopes. Go home and get back to your life as intended.
Option 2: You have some other ailment that will change everything you thought you knew, everything you had planned, and will cause your course to change in a way you never planned for.
The sedation quickly took hold, which is nothing new to me after numerous orthopedic injuries in surgeries over the years. Just a quick time travel, and I'll see ya on the other side.
In the blink of an eye I was back awake and alert, still in the procedure room. They told me the endoscopy and colonoscopy both went smoothly. They saw nothing concerning on the endoscopy. The colonoscopy showed a few small polyps that were easily removed. Next I heard what I was hoping to not hear. They found a "highly concerning 3cm tumor where my colon meets my small intestines that visually appears cancerous". While they were in there, they took numerous biopsies that will be send out for testing. Expect results in 3-5 days.........
Upon return to my hospital room I was notified in short order I would be undergoing a CT scan to check my body for any other abnormalities. The CT scan took place and within 15 minutes I had results pop up on my phone app. "At least 10 lesions on the liver". Well F*ck....
